The cancer was found to have originated on the right tonsil.
Following a tonsillectomy - chemotherapy began.

An official notation report from surgeon Dr. Ryan Osborne, Director for the Head and Neck Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai revealed that, among other things, “the case took approximately four hours in total and was of significant complexity due to the patient’s advanced stage of the disease, as well as the additional changes to the soft tissue associated with chemotherapy, as well as the patient’s essentially obliterated internal jugular vein, making it quite difficult to get superior and inferior control.” |
